Our Story
Hi, I'm Ebany.
I'm a mum of two, one little legend who just started school, and a toddler who keeps me on my toes.
Like a lot of mums, I didn't think too much about lunch boxes until I had to. Then my son started school, and suddenly I was packing one every morning.
The more I looked at what was on offer, the more it bugged me. So much plastic. So many bits and pieces destined for landfill. Nothing I felt good about handing my five-year-old, five days a week.
So I went looking for something better. I wanted a lunch box that was safe, low-tox, and plastic-free. Something that could handle a variety of snacks without everything turning into mixed-up mush. Something personalised, so it would actually come home. And something that met all the school's requirements.
Sounds simple, right? But after hours of searching, comparing, and second-guessing, I came up empty. Nothing ticked all of my boxes.
So, we started Bento Buds.
Bento Buds is everything I was after, and couldn't find, when school started. It's the brand I wish I'd had from day one.
Here's what that means.
Every product on our site is made from 304 food-grade stainless steel and food-grade silicone. No BPA, no PVC, no phthalates, no lead. And zero plastic touching food.
